This release has Dave Shuck’s name written all over it. Dave rewrote the cffpVerify file as a CFC, which is very cool. He also wrote all the code for a new test he came up with. CFFP can now test each form post for 6 things. The new test counts how many URLs are in the form post, because many spammers like to submit a ton of URLs. You can configure how many URLs to allow, and if the post has more than that limit, CFFP will raise a flag. Thanks for all your hard work, Dave! Also, Dave has configured Instant Spot to use CFFormProtect to stop comment spam for the blogs, and he has reported great success. If you are curious what CFFormProtect is, you can find out more and download it at the project page.
