Mozilla 1.4 is out

My favorite web browser people have just released version 1.4. I’ve been waiting with baited breath for this release, because I’ve recently moved my PC usage to Linux (except for gaming), and Mozilla 1.3.1 was kind of buggy. Popup blocking wouldn’t work very well, and Mozilla even caused my machine to freeze up on occasion. But I’m really hoping that 1.4 will fix all these issues. The release notes mention better popup blocking, and they always have thousands of bug fixes with new releases.
Some of you may be saying, “Why didn’t you use a nightly, or even one of the release candidates?” I’ve had really bad luck with pre-release versions of Mozilla in the past. I use Mozilla as my full time web browser/email client, and I have a lot of very important stuff tied to Mozilla. I can’t afford to lose any of it, as I nearly have in the past with pre-release Mozilla versions. Mozilla’s response to this is always, “Mozilla is intended for web developers, and you should do a clean install every time.” Well, I’m breaking the rules, and using Mozilla full time.
