I think CNet must have read my last article. 😉 They just posted an article about mouse gestures. Apparently Opera was the first company to use mouse gestures, and they introduced them about 18 months ago in version 5.11 of their browser. The article also talks about the gestures in Mozilla, and how there seems to be a fledgling movement developing that might eventually bring mouse gestures to all applications in computing.
Also, the article brings up the interesting thought of mouse gestures in a 3D environment, and how they would be very powerful and useful. Since we are already seeing 3D monitors that can be used without special glasses, this new world may not be as far away was we might think.
